The first location where the play was performed after its triumphant return from Sicily was the ancient Milesian colony of Apollonia Pontica, now known as Sozopol. Symbolically, the troupe moved from the western edge of Hellenic colonization to its eastern end. Under the patronage of the Municipality of Sozopol, the ancient theater not only presented its work with a procession through the Old Town and a performance at the Art Gallery, but also initiated a promenade performance at Cape Skamni (the ancient sanctuary of Demeter and Persephone), which took place for the first time in 2,500 years.
